Ashley Petersen

Ashley Petersen is a choreographer, dancer, artist, and educator originally from Austin, Texas. During her time in Austin, Ashley completed her associate's degree in dance performance at Austin Community College. While attending, Ashley represented Austin Community College through performances at the American College Dance Association, faculty showcases, student-led choreography showcases, and dance films. She had the opportunity to work closely with Melissa Sanderson, Allison Beaty, and Roxanne Gage. 

Currently, Ashley is a senior at Texas Woman’s University working towards her BA in Dance Education. Here, she has studied choreography, theories of teaching, and a variety of dance styles, including modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and ballet. Ashley enjoys teaching. She believes that movement should be accessible and enjoyable to all movers, regardless of their age, background, or skill level. Whether she is in a rehearsal or teaching at a local dance studio, she is leading with positivity and a passion to move with others.
